And I will never let you go

Somethings have been going down these past few weeks (some pretty darn shitty, others rather great) but all in all, they have been special to me. Throughout the course of these days I have learned about myself, I have seen what I have been doing wrong, I have had the opportunity to become better; but most importantly, I have realized the biggest mistake I have been doing for god knows how long............I forgot how to love myself.

It may sound cheesy for many, but in the end this is something many people overlook and decided to ignore it's importance. I have been denying my past due to what has happened in my life, and by doing so, I have been denying the existence of my younger self. I have been living years without my "inner child" , years without my essence..........years without the real me.

Today I have learned the power and the importance of acceptance, and even more, of forgiveness. Living all these years only half of who I really am has come with consequences which I have paid greatly. I vow to myself today to accept who I am; and along with that, the whole trail of mistakes, pain and suffering, because those go hand-in-hand with the joys, laughter and adventures. I accept what has happened to me, and it will form part of who I am, but it will, in no way, get in the way of who I will become.

In the words of that sheep lady from Kung Fu Panda 2 "Your story may not have such a happy beginning, but that doesn't make you who you are. It is the rest of your story, who you *choose* to be"

Talk about unconditional love? Who more perfect to love you til the end than yourself? I will always love me, and I will accept me for who I am, today, and forever.
