Little Max here can't really take mean comments, he gets upset about them pretty quickly and easily. Sometimes even if it's meant to be a joke, he might take it personally which will bring down his mood.

Maximus tries to contradict or hide this side of him as much as he can, he sees it as a weakness. When faced with something that gets to him more than it should, he fights it off with a joke or a sarcastic comment, anything he can use to turn the comment to the other feline; making them the target of the "bullying" instead of him.

He tends to question a lot of things about him, even more when it comes to his abilities to fight. He's not a fighter, that's obvious, but being the son of one of the most respected Elite Hunters doesn't make anything easier for him.

With Shen's promotion to Silver Hunter; Maximus feels a heavy weight on his shoulders to be just as good as his father. He sees most apprentices around his age to have achieved so much more than him, to be more skilled in battle than him; he tries his best to not compare himself with the others, and tries to be as good as he can, but there's always that annoying little voice in his head that tells him he can't do it.

For whatever he may lack of muscles now, he has it in brain. Max is pretty sharp for a young cub, he knows how to make his way around a problem and knows a thing or two that you wouldn't expect someone young to know.

Maxie has a big heart, a big and soft heart. If someone manages to pass through his shyness and get's to know the little fella then he will not think twice to act in a nice way towards them, sometimes even when it's with someone he doesn't know. If for some reason he gets enough courage to talk to someone he will most likely try t be kind to them, regardless of the outcome.

He may be insecure, sensitive and shy, but when he's with his father he always has a smile on his face. He loves smiling, he loves being happy, hence why he loves being around his father so much, so far it seems he's only able to feel this way with the tiger around.

-Background:

Young Maximus was one of the many cubs his parents had. They were breed to fight, they were both strong and priceless specimens, and so far every offspring they produced was treated like a treasure, except for one. Maximus was born in a litter of 4 other cubs, they all already showed sings of strength or beauty, but Maximus was too small and too fragile compared to the others. Their parents were almost disgusted with the excuse of a creature that he was, if it was up to them they would've put the little rat out of his misery, but their master had a better idea.

He took the little rascal away from them and sold him in a low price to a merchandiser, he didn't care what was going to happen to the cub, he just wanted whatever profit he could make with the little thing.
Maximus was kept as an attraction, or a pet for this merchandiser who couldn't afford anything better. But having a light pelt lion by his side, even if it was Max, called the attention of costumers. Maximus was taken care of in the most minimal way possible, he would have enough food and water to have enough energy to walk and do as his told, but other than that he was left to starve.

A few months passed by and the lion was in bad shape, he could barely stand and he looked ill, the merchandiser decided to throw him away now that he was of no use. It didn't take him long to be found by another human, a Roman man who was getting ready to set sail to a land far away from this horrid place. The man figured that the lion's pelt could be worth something seeing that the cub was not bound to survive the trip. Little did they know, there's more to the cub than that.

Max collapsed in the boat and slept for the whole ride, only one feline out of them all seemed somewhat concerned for the little cub, but there was nothing to be done. This little collapse had cost him his memory, as if his brain was trying to erase this horrible memories. and once in Masillia, he found a new life.

-Extra:

- Suffers from Amnesia, he cannot remember his family before he arrived in Masillia, in fact, he can bearly remember anything before that.
-Depends on Shen just as much as the Hunter depends of the cub.
-Due to his malnutrition he seems rather thin and small to what he's supposed to be at this age, yet his fur seems t cover some of it so it might not look so bad to others from a distance. On the other hand, he has been under the care of Shen for a few weeks now, so he does not look at bad as the first time these two meet.
-Its hard to see him socializing on his own, only if Shen is around he might get the courage to look around and explore.
- Due to not having been exposed to any type of care or love, he tends to get attach to whomever shows these rather quickly.
